Specialty Areas
LGBTQIA+
Having a supportive therapist is important for those who identify as LGBTQ+. As someone experienced in working with the community, I understand the unique stressors LGBTQ+ individuals may face and create a space that is welcoming and non-judgmental. Whether you are exploring aspects of your identity or being part of the community is just a part of who you are, I’m here to provide care that meets your needs.
Depression
Depression is more than just feeling sad; it’s a state that can affect how you think, feel, and function in daily life. It may show up as feelings of hopelessness, loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed, fatigue, changes in sleep or appetite, and difficulty concentrating. In therapy, we’ll work together to explore the root causes of your depression, and use evidence-based approaches to help you find relief and realign with yourself.
Self Esteem
Self-esteem shapes how you see yourself and interact with the world. Struggles like self-doubt, harsh self-criticism, or feeling unworthy can cause many difficulties in life; from school, to work, to relationships. In therapy, we’ll uncover the roots of these beliefs, explore how they impact your daily life, and work together to help you build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Anxiety
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes persistent or overwhelming it needs to be addressed. Anxiety often shows up as worried thoughts, irritability, restlessness, stomachaches and headaches, or even a lack of concentration. In therapy, we’ll work to understand the underlying triggers of your anxiety, explore how it affects your thoughts and behaviors, and use evidence-based techniques to help you manage it effectively.
ADHD
Having ADHD can make everyday tasks more challenging and may also impact your self esteem. ADHD can affect your ability to get work done on time, stay organized, and even regulate your emotions. In therapy, we will work together on creating systems that work for you in a non-judgemental environment. I provide understanding, care, and practical tools which can help you manage your life in a way that works better for you.
Relationships
Relationships with friends, family, or partners are essential to our lives, but challenges like miscommunication, conflict, or emotional distance can create stress and disconnection. In therapy, we’ll explore the dynamics affecting your relationships and work together to help you navigate them more effectively. We may also explore how past relationships may be affecting your current relationships, so we can find ways to improve them.
